These Terms of Use govern your use of the "AWS AI Coach" app, provided by Hicham El Malki, Joachim-Biermann-Str. 5, 60486 Frankfurt am Main, Germany (see Legal Notice). They supplement Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which automatically applies to all apps obtained through the App Store.
AWS AI Coach is a study app for the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" (CLF-C02) certification. It offers practice questions, exam simulations, flashcards, and an AI-powered study coach built on an OpenAI language model.
A current iPhone with a supported iOS version is required. No registration or user account is necessary; all study data stays local on your device.
The app can be used within the scope of the free tier (e.g. 5 of 23 practice exams, limited AI Coach usage, ads). The optional Pro subscription (monthly or yearly, each with a free 7-day trial) unlocks all practice exams, the mock-exam mode, custom topic exams, an expanded AI Coach token budget, and an ad-free experience.
The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Management and cancellation happen exclusively through your Apple ID settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions). The purchase price is charged to your Apple account upon purchase confirmation.
Use of the AI Coach (chat and automatic flashcard generation) is limited by a token budget:
AI Coach replies and automatically generated flashcards are produced by a language model (OpenAI) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. They do not constitute official AWS documentation and are not a substitute for studying official AWS learning materials. We make no warranty as to the factual accuracy or exam relevance of AI-generated content. You are responsible for your own exam preparation.
Practice questions, text, design, and other content in the app are protected by copyright. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use outside the app's intended use is not permitted without consent.
You agree not to misuse the app — in particular, not to send automated bulk requests to the AI Coach, not to circumvent security mechanisms (e.g. device attestation), and not to reverse-engineer the app except as permitted by applicable law.
The AI Coach depends on the availability of third-party services (OpenAI, Cloudflare, Apple). We aim for stable operation but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and under applicable product liability law. For ordinary negligence, we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, and limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability is otherwise excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Free use can be ended at any time by deleting the app. A Pro subscription ends at the end of the paid period following cancellation via Apple ID settings; no pro-rata refund is owed unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms of Use as needed, for example for new features or changes in applicable law. We will communicate material changes within the app.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your habitual residence remain unaffected. To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
